Strip Out and Enabling

Brief Description:

KpH Deconstruction are currently undertaking this 16 week Strip Out and Enabling project at 25 Golden Square, for our client Maris Interiors. The works were systematically programmed to ensure we worked around other trades and met our own programme deadlines. The works were originally planned to be undertaken in 12 weeks, however Maris were keen for us to undertaken additional packages which extended our stay on site by a further 4 weeks.

Scope of Works

The works comprised of the internal Strip Out of the building back to shell and core, including the removal of ceiling tiles; door frames; floor tiles; plasterboard partitions; glass partitions; kitchenette; Toilets and all redundant Mechanical and Electrical Services.

The works comprise of the internal Strip Out of the building back to shell, including the removal of:

  • ceiling tiles;
  • door frames;
  • floor tiles;
  • plasterboard partitions;
  • atrium glazing;
  • lift
  • redundant roof plant and roof coverings back to weatherproofing

Additional Works Included the following:

Creation of structural openings and RC slab removal

Our engagement with Specialist Contractors who were to undertake mechanical demolition techniques to carry out  the slab opening

Removal of Lifts

Liaison with Steel Contractors whilst simultaneously installing main temporary steel work

Removal of all mechanical and electrical plant throughout the building

Removal of all roof plant utilising a crane. This included ongoing liaison with the crane lift company and our client Maris Interiors.

Removal of all roof finishes back to structure
