In capacity of Principal Contractor, KpH Deconstruction undertook this 6 week Strip Out & Enabling project at Tonman House, St Albans. Working on behalf of CCLA Investment Management Limited alongside Novus Alliance Limited.
Tonman House is used as office space for a number of businesses and is located 10 minutes from St Albans City Centre.
Our works were undertaken from Roof Level, 2nd Floor, 1st Floor and Ground Level. Removal of all roof plant was done by utilising a crane. This included ongoing liaison with the crane lift company and our client. Strip out works were carried out carefully to keep certain live services in place such as fire and intruder alarms, security barriers and lifts.
We identified that the adjacent areas and neighbouring properties could also be affected by our works and therefore paid particular attention to minimising the disruption to these areas.
The client requested additional works within the same timeframe, to trace out the remaining services and we were able to re sequence and complete the works within the original programme.
Scope of Works
The main scope of works comprised of the internal Strip Out back to shell, including the removal of:
- All ceilings including services
- Floor coverings and underfloor services
- Toilets stripped back to shell and core
- Partition Walls
- Full Strip out of risers
- Nosing and Floor coverings on stair cores
- Boiler Room
