Building 9, Chiswick Park

Strip Out and Enabling

Client: Beadmans
Project: Building 9, Chiswick Park, London

Brief Description:

KpH undertook this 8 week Strip Out and Enabling project for a key Client, Blackstone Property Management , acting in the capacity of  Principal Contractor, working alongside the Contract Administrators Beadmans.

Building 9 is situated on the Eastern side of Chiswick Park. The Strip Out works were on Level 2 and 3 of the existing building; covering circa 68,000 square feet of office space. The building remained occupied throughout the project.

KpH agreed designated noisy works hours, for carrying out  tasks such as removing glue from the pedestals to ensure that we mitigated as much as possible any noise nuisance for the remaining tenants. In this instance this was programmed for between 7am and 9am.

Due to the live nature of the building we were operating in, there were a number of services that were to remain in situ. The team used rubber matting and wooden ramps to protect low level pipes, cables and to provide safe access to fire exits.

Scope of Works

Strip Out and Enabling works included the removal and disposal of the following:

  • Redundant services including WC’s and Tea Points
  • Floor and wall finishes
  • Suspended ceilings, lighting and associated conduit
  • Raised access flooring and skirtings
  • Plasterboard and glazed partitions
