Strip Out and Enabling

Brief Description:

KpH undertook this 5 week Strip Out and Enabling project for the Client, Blackstone, as the Principal Contractor, working alongside Beadmans.

Building 3 is situated on the Western side of Chiswick Park. The Strip Out works were on Level 3 of the existing building; covering circa 30,000 square feet of office space. The building remained occupied throughout the project.

KpH agreed designated noisy works hours, for carrying out task such as removing glue from the pedestals, for when it would caused least disruption to the tenants (in this case between 7am and 9am).

Our Strip Out works were completed ahead of programme, enabling our Client to begin the ongoing Fit-Out works 3 weeks before it was scheduled (which was of benefit to their project).

Scope of Works

Strip Out and Enabling works included the removal and disposal of the following:

  • Floor finishes and RAF;
  • suspended Ceiling, Grid and plasterboard Surround;
  • redundant M&E (Trench Heaters to remain and be protected);
  • Toilets;
  • non-loadbearing identified Walls (Glazed and Plasterboard);
  • underfloor Services;
  • loose Furniture to be recycled;
  • Fixture and Fittings (including Joinery).

In addition to the above, protections were installed on the Lifts.
