Building 1320, Arlington Business Park
Strip Out and Enabling
Client: | Patron/Beadmans |
Project: | Building 1320, Arlington Business Park |
Brief Description
KpH undertook this 5 week Strip Out and Enabling project for the Client, Patron, as the Principal Contractor, working alongside Beadmans.
Building 1320 is situated on the Northern edge of Arlington Business Park. The existing building is a 3-storey office building containing approximately 30,000 square feet of office space and associated reception, circulation and service spaces.
The Client requested that key utilities remained live on Site. Once these works were completed, KpH carefully set up hoarding and warning signage to protect Operatives carrying out the next stage of the project.
Arlington Business Park was a live Site, so KpH had to minimise disruption to daily activities and protect the safety of the general public. One of the ways this was achieved was by sectioning off an unused curve in the road to locate the Skip Loading Area (allowing traffic to move more freely to and from the building), and surrounding it with heras fencing.
KpH also overcame the movement restrictions on the Roof by removing the larger Plant Room items via a Crane Lift; which was carefully planned and coordinated by our Operations Team.
Our works were completed ahead of programme enabling the Client to begin the ongoing works 1 week before it was scheduled.
Scope of Works
The Strip Out works included the removal of:
- Floor Coverings, Ceilings, Grid System, Acoustic Barriers and Partition Walls.
- Kitchen/Tea Points and Toilets.
- Fixtures and Fittings including: window blinds, joinery items, floor boxes and signage.
