48 Phillimore Gardens
Strip Out & Enabling
Client: | Gardiner & Theobold |
Project: | 48 Phillimore Gardens |
Brief Description:
KpH Deconstruction undertook this 8 week Strip Out Enabling project, working alongside Project Managers Gardiner & Theobold. The site was a private detached residential property located in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. Our works consisted of strip out back to shell and core from Level 3 down to Basement Level.
This residential property was located on a busy residential area so mitigating disturbance was of great importance to the project and every effort was made to ensure this was achieved. Due to the nature of the building the logistics of removing the waste was challenging without the use of a lift. A hoist or chutes could not be considered due to the potential noise impact therefore all waste was handballed down the stairs.
KpH agreed designated noisy works hours, for carrying out tasks such as removing block walls and loading to ensure that we mitigated as much as possible any noise nuisance for the neighbouring properties. This was our key focus on this project.
Scope of Works
The scope of works consisted of the strip out of the following items:
- Floor coverings & floor build up back to structural ply

- Plasterboard & blockwork partition walls
- Redundant M&E
- Removal of AC units and condensers
- Strip out of WC’s
