Brief Description

KpH undertook a 17 week programme to strip-out Pitmaston House, a Grade II Listed Building (Ground through to 3rd Floor), at 123 Green Lane in Birmingham for Vulcan Property Contractors. Works included the removal of interior fittings, flat roofs, walls, fire exit stair case, all services and asbestos. Additional works included core drilling and wall chasing for the new services.

This project was particularly challenging because great care had to be taken to protect the structure of the existing listed building and features. There was also many other Contractors working on site simultaneously which we had to co-ordinate effectively.

Scope of Works

A full Asbestos Survey was organised and all subsequent licenced and non-licenced asbestos was removed.

Strip out works included:

  • M&E, floor and roof coverings removal and slab openings to facilitate new lift construction.
  • Removal of internal walls, partitions, kitchenette and toilets, ceilings, floor finishes and fixture and fittings.
